DentiRate has introduced integrated payment processing as a standalone module, enabling dental practices and DSOs to reduce net card acceptance costs from approximately 3% to 1-2% through a compliant cost-offset feature.

The new module supports seamless card and ACH payments without disrupting existing workflows. Practices can deploy DentiRate Payments independently or in conjunction with DentiRate Financing, depending on their operational needs. As part of DentiRate’s AI-powered platform for dental operators, this module ties payments into the same data and workflows that power financing decisions and revenue reporting.

Key Features:

  • Card and ACH acceptance with link-to-pay via SMS or email
  • Support for deposits, split payments, and recurring schedules
  • Card-on-file storage with role-based controls
  • Optional countertop terminals for in-office checkout
  • Unified payments and financing reporting
  • Searchable payment history by patient

Addressing Real Collection Challenges:

The module is designed for common scenarios that slow collections, including when insurers deny or downcode claims, when checks are issued to patients instead of practices, and when upfront deposits are required for larger procedures. By keeping payment acceptance and reporting in one environment, practices reduce tool-switching and gain faster visibility into revenue.

“Front-office teams want fewer handoffs and finance teams want lower net costs,” said Ali Touchaei, CEO of DentiRate. “By adding a dedicated payments option and enabling a compliant cost-recovery feature, operators can standardize collections and meaningfully reduce what they spend on card fees.”

Cost Impact:

Practices currently averaging $10,000 per month in transaction costs may be able to reduce this to around $5,000 under a similar volume and payment mix, while maintaining a modern patient experience. Actual results will vary by payer mix, card usage, and configuration.
